This project presented a unique challenge: Create a print magazine for a web-first company. One with no dedicated magazine staff and a team that was already focused on the daily demands of generating online content and organizing events. The entire production process had to be created from scratch and the magazine’s architecture had to be built around facilitating IL’s existing web content. And although geared toward c-suite execs at large companies, a magazine called Innovation Leader absolutely couldn’t look or feel like a traditional business magazine. By focusing on high production values, quality paper and printing, bold layouts, and memorable covers (plus a unique trim size), readers were compelled to save each issue.
