When the National Geographic Society wanted to redesign its National Geographic Traveler magazine as part of a larger corporate reorganization, the direction couldn’t have been any clearer: quiet the design. Make it simple and sophisticated, something that would inspire wanderlust and would appeal to the luxury travelers it was trying to attract. And, being National Geographic, the people who know the world better than anyone, let its legendary photography be front and center.
